چکیده
Status of this Memo This memo provides information for the Internet community. It does not specify an Internet standard. Distribution of this memo is unlimited. Abstract This memo discusses and defines a number of terms that are used in describing performance benchmarking tests and the results of such tests. The terms defined in this memo will be used in additional memos to define specific benchmarking tests and the suggested format to be used in reporting the results of each of the tests. This memo is a product of the Benchmarking Methodology Working Group (BMWG) of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

PERFORMANCE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE CLICK MODULAR Router and the NetFPGA Router
1 It is possible to forward minimum-sized packets at rates of hundreds of Mbps using commodity hardware and Linux. We had a preference for the Click Modular Router platform due its flexibility and the fact that it claimed to have equal or higher performance than native forwarding if used with its polling drivers. Moreover, the NetFPGA is an open networking platform accelerator that enables rese...
متن کاملTerminology for Benchmarking Network-layer Traffic Control Mechanisms
This document describes terminology for the benchmarking of devices that implement traffic control using packet classification based on defined criteria. The terminology is to be applied to measurements made on the data plane to evaluate IP traffic control mechanisms. Rules for packet classification can be based on any field in the IP header, such as the Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP...
متن کاملIntegrated Nanowire Systems for Post-CMOS Computing
CMOS faces new device and technology challenges: MOSFETs require ultra-sharp doping profiles and complex processing; integration of devices into circuits requires arbitrary interconnection with overlay precision beyond known manufacturing solutions (3σ=±3nm, 16nm CMOS, ITRS’11[1]). To overcome these challenges, we propose a new nanoscale computing fabric with integrated design of device, interc...

Status of this Memo This memo provides information for the Internet community. It does not specify an Internet standard of any kind. Distribution of this memo is unlimited. Abstract The purpose of this document is to define terminology specific to the benchmarking of multicast IP forwarding devices. It builds upon the tenets set forth in RFC 1242, RFC 2285, and other IETF Benchmarking Methodolo...
متن کاملPerformance Analysis of a New Neural Network for Routing in Mesh Interconnection Networks
Routing is one of the basic parts of a message passing multiprocessor system. The routing procedure has a great impact on the efficiency of a system. Neural algorithms that are currently in use for computer networks require a large number of neurons. If a specific topology of a multiprocessor network is considered, the number of neurons can be reduced. In this paper a new recurrent neural ne...
